Newfoundland Festival Ltd is a non-profit social enterprise company.
Through collaboration with arts and community organisations in Wales, across the UK and the world, Newfoundland aims to:
Break down cultural boundaries between community groups through cooperation and celebration.
Create employment opportunities in the locality.
Provide a platform for local artists and musicians to display their work.
Bring national and international artists to the locality.
Develop participation in the arts for groups which do not usually access them by uniting ‘traditional’ and ‘alternative’ artistic forms in a single event.
Specifically raise the profile of electronic music as an art form, engaging its followers fully within the local community, reducing a long-standing negative image which has brought about division and social exclusion.
Make direct donations to arts and community organisations locally and nationally.
Distribute profits amongst artists and performers as bonuses, above wages or fees
Reinvest profits into the enterprise in order to further its goals
